Toshimaru Nakamura: Learns English in "One Day"
TobiasWith „One Day“, Toshimaru Nakamura also celebrates his tenth anniversary as a recording artist – a time he has dedicated to various collaborations and research on the sonic possibilities of the „No Input Mixing Board“, an ingenius set-up which uses the Mixer as an instrument without any external sound source and which requires great sensitivity from the musician. Some of the people he has previously worked with include Keith Rowe, Sachiko M, Sean Meehan, Klaus Filip and Axel Dörner. English, meanwhile, have managed to build a career despite the space between individual members: Joe Foster moved to Seoul in 2002, while his musical partner Bonnie Jones currently resides in Baltimore.
„One Day“ was recorded in the Summer of 2007, after its participants had felt their way forward towards an intuitive understanding by a concert prior to the studio session.
