Review/ Traumatic Voyage: "Khiaoscuro"

Khiaoscuro, Astorian´s Solo-Project Masterpiece was released in the beginning of 2007. This is really complexe extrem metal flirting with experimental edges and black metal. Every single title is the results of hard work and an inner struggle.

Astorian´s visions and art are extreme, deep and at the same time beautiful. I can certainly appreciate the use of keyboards, female vocals and clean vocals. Throughout Khiaoscuro, he expresses his heartfelt hatred against humanity and life.

Astorian does not resign himself to the usual conformity created by human beings; he denies their stupidity and desire for control through intelligent lyrics mixing German and English. He denounces this socalled freedom, lost due to lies and the fact that the truth is hidden and unwanted. This humanity prevents us to fully express our will and desires notheless no one can take us our will; as every wise man knows, when there is a will there is a way.

Khiaoscuro is also a quest for spirituality; a search for the meaning of life. How do you live when you are concious that everything leads to nowhere? He insists on the futility and meaningless nature of life and its unbearable boredom.

Traumatic Voyage allows Astorian to translate his visions and dreams about darkness, reality and coldness into music. This album does not need to be in every hand as this true masterpiece could be wrongly interpreted; Traumatic Voyage is underground and will stay underground. It is an experience for forgotten souls. Keep the dark flame alive Astorian!
