Review/ Noneuclid: "The Crawling Chaos"

img  Tobias

Noneuclid is a project by Dutch-composer Morean and members from Dark Fortress, Celtic Frost and The Hungry Gods. This album is already 4 years old but hasn’t lost a grain of its originality and professionalism.

Acoustic Cathedrals Of Cosmic Death explores vast territories; the music is extreme throughout - electronic and original and unexpected at the same time. Vocals charge between the furious and the clear, sometimes approximating the high-pitched sounds preferred by 80´s hard rocker chanteurs.

Flurries of choirs, a flamenco guitar and strings reinforce this musical orgasm performed by highly talented musicians. The lyrics are extraordinarily imaginative - the band describes The Crawling´Chaos as “a concept album about the violent and inevitable death of the entire universe, peronified by God-like entities from beyond the cosmos”.

I look forward to listening to a new album and hope this was not only a one time project.
