Review/ Fat Mans War Face: "The white light"

img  Tobias

"The White Light" is the second EP by Berlin's Fat Mans warface one year after their 1st release. The band is quite young (formed in 2008) but most of the members have already been playing together under the moniker of Matricide.

Their style is pleasantly hard to define, as they are fusing several elements from the most diverse genres: Mid-tempo melodies, Harcore, Death & Grind sections, while bundling all this with a groovy approach.

The result is decidedly aggressive & some of the shoutings may remind you of some of the better passages from old Suicidal Tendencies songs. The sound is amazing for an underground production, which leads to a positive verdict: Not revolutionary, but definitely a convincing start!
