Review/ Darkane: "Demonic Art"

img  Tobias

Demonic Art is already the fifth album by Darkane. After a three year break, they present themselves with their new frontman Jens Broman. Demonic Art is a complex album mixing atmospheric moments, uptempo parts and slowly simmering sections.

The Intro, but also some of the mid-album moments, are worthy of a creepy wild Horror Film Theme. Overall, you´ll be served nearly 50 minutes of the most extreme kind of metal; I personally needed a few listens in order to fully appreciate the album as it sounded kind of repetitive at first. This impression, however, was ultimately disproved.

The vocals are always thrashy and the fans of the band will certainly quickly come to enjoy Darkane´s new screamer – as well as the band's technical and fast skills.
