Orgel-Mixturen: Celebrates Contemporary Organ Repertoire

img  Tobias
The reason for this ongoing fascination mainly lies in the Organ’s capacity of generating new and unique sounds, its flexibility and regal, voluminous sound (it actually consists of two independent organs). And then it offers performers a wide range of percussive instruments, allowing for many different timbral combinations and rhythmic effects.

Next to featuring some of Germany’s own specialist, this year’s edition of “Orgel-Mixturen” will also highlight Organists from other countries – such as Hungary’s Zsigmond Szathmáry (a recording artist for Sony BMG Masterworks) and Nacho Ribas Taléns from Andorra.

“Orgel-Mixturen” is scheduled for September 30th - October 5th.
