Francisco Lopez: Definitely Going Somewhere with 'nowhere short pieces 1983 to 2003'
TobiasConsidering its impressive dimension of 10CDs and an elegant black on black embossed packaging, the price for the regular edition of “nowhere - short pieces 1983 to 2003” seems moderate at roughly $50 (that's approximately 37 Euros, European customers currently still profiting from the weak Dollar, of course). Die-hard fans will naturally not be able to live without the “artist edition” of the release. This deluxe item adds a 5" record with 10 years of compressed music on each side, as well as a black metal lapel pin to the former and will be limited to a mere 100 copies.
Should you personally wish to congratulate Francisco Lopez on his achievements, you may now do so again. For the past week. Lopez had withdrawn to his annual residency in the Brazilian Amazon at Mamori Lake, where, as he himself pointed out, “there's no telephone or internet connection (in the middle of the jungle!)”. The workshop, meanwhile, follows a period of busy touring and installation works all over the world.
